The Wystic Mankers grew out of the Tibetan Ukranian Mountain Troupe, a group of wierdo-anarchist performers who travelled the UK and Europe from the late '70s to the mid '80s. The band itself played some wonderfully esoteric music on a variety of instruments including the kitchen sink, with, as the name suggests, it's collective tongue firmly in it's collective cheek. c is for dog wants to issue any archive material available. A lot of the recordings of the band were made with a couple of microphones and whatever cassette deck happened to be around, and were edited on whatever twin-cassette deck happened to be around. If anybody has the copies of any of these recordings, please e-mail us and we'll try to re-master it and get it out to those poor souls who still hold a fondness for the band. to find out more, go to the wystics archive |
